# FAQ (/docs/help/faq)

Getting started [#getting-started]

**Do I need to write code?**
No. You can plan and schedule posts in the dashboard, or let an AI assistant do it through the [MCP server](/docs/mcp). The API is for when you want to automate posting or build it into your own product.

**Which platforms are supported?**
X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky, Pinterest and TikTok (beta). Facebook, Threads and YouTube are planned. [Platform support](/docs/platforms/overview) compares what each one takes.

**What does it cost?**
Up to 2 connected accounts are free. After that you pay per connected account and month, with every feature included. See [Pricing](/docs/pricing).

**Is there a sandbox or test mode?**
Not yet. Use `POST /posts/validate` to check posts without creating them, and a test account on each platform for real publishing.

Posting [#posting]

**Can one post have a different text per platform?**
Yes. Send `targets` with a `content` per account; accounts without one use the post's text. See [Own text per account](/docs/guides/scheduling#own-text-per-account).

**How exact is the publishing time?**
Scheduled posts are picked up once a minute, so a post goes out within about a minute of its time.

**Can I post to LinkedIn company pages, Instagram personal accounts or as a thread on X?**
Not yet. LinkedIn posts go to personal profiles; company pages are planned. Instagram needs a professional (business or creator) account. Threads of several posts on X are not supported.

**Can I edit a post after it is published?**
No. FeedHorizon does not change posts on the platforms once they are live. Before publishing, you can edit a post as often as you like. See [Post lifecycle](/docs/concepts/post-lifecycle).

**If I delete a post in FeedHorizon, does it disappear from the platform?**
No. Deleting removes the post from FeedHorizon only. Posts already live stay on the platforms.

**How far ahead can I schedule?**
As far as you like with `scheduledFor`. The queue looks for a free slot in the next 8 weeks.

**Does FeedHorizon show likes, reach or comments?**
No. FeedHorizon publishes posts and tells you their status and link; it does not collect statistics.

Accounts [#accounts]

**Why does an account show `needs_reauth`?**
The platform ended the connection, because it expired or someone revoked it on the platform. Connect it again in the dashboard or with a [connect link](/docs/guides/connect-links), then retry the posts that failed.

**Can my customers connect their accounts without a FeedHorizon login?**
Yes, with a [connect link](/docs/guides/connect-links). They only sign in at the platform.

**Can the same social account be in several profiles?**
Yes. Each profile has its own connection, and each one counts as a connected account.

API [#api]

**Is there an SDK?**
Official Node.js and Python SDKs are on the way. Until then, the [recipes](/docs/recipes/post-with-image) show plain `fetch` and `requests` code, and [/openapi.json](/openapi.json) works with any OpenAPI client generator.

**What happens if my request times out? Will the post be created twice?**
Not if you send an `Idempotency-Key`. Repeat the request with the same key and you get the first answer back. See [Idempotency](/docs/api/idempotency).

**Will changes to the API break my integration?**
Not within `v1`. See [Versioning](/docs/api/versioning).

Data and security [#data-and-security]

**Where is my data stored?**
In the EU: servers and database are in Frankfurt, Germany. See [Security and privacy](/docs/help/security).

**Can FeedHorizon see my social passwords?**
No. Platforms sign you in themselves and hand FeedHorizon a token, which is stored encrypted. Bluesky uses an app password that you can revoke at any time.
