# Glossary (/docs/help/glossary)

**Account** (`acc_`)
One connected social account, such as a LinkedIn profile or an Instagram business account. Belongs to a profile. See [Data model](/docs/concepts/data-model#account).

**API key** (`key_`, `fh_…`)
The secret your code sends as `Authorization: Bearer fh_…`. Has scopes and can be limited to profiles. See [Authentication](/docs/api/authentication).

**Category**
The kind of a publishing error: `auth_expired`, `rate_limited`, `rejected`, `platform_error`, `timeout` or `unknown`. See [Publishing errors](/docs/api/errors#publishing-errors).

**Connect link** (`inv_`)
A link for one profile and one platform that lets someone connect their account without a FeedHorizon login. Called a *platform invite* in the API. See [Connect links](/docs/guides/connect-links).

**Connected app**
An AI assistant connected to FeedHorizon over MCP with OAuth. Listed and disconnected under **API & Apps**.

**Default profile**
The profile every organization starts with. It cannot be deleted.

**Draft**
A post without a time. Nothing is published until you schedule or publish it.

**`externalId`**
Your own id for a profile, such as your customer id. Unique in the organization.

**Idempotency key**
A unique value in the `Idempotency-Key` header that makes a retried request return the first answer instead of running twice. See [Idempotency](/docs/api/idempotency).

**MCP**
Model Context Protocol, the standard AI assistants use to call tools. FeedHorizon's MCP server lets them plan and schedule posts. See [MCP server](/docs/mcp).

**Media** (`med_`)
An image, video or PDF in the organization's library, used by posts through `mediaIds`. See [Media uploads](/docs/guides/media-uploads).

**Organization** (`org_`)
Your team: members, plan, profiles, keys and webhooks. Every API key belongs to exactly one.

**Platform**
A social network, such as `twitter`, `linkedin` or `instagram`. The API id of each is on [Platform support](/docs/platforms/overview).

**Post** (`post_`)
What you publish: text, media and time, sent to one or more accounts of a profile.

**Profile** (`prof_`)
A brand, client or project in the organization, with its own accounts, posts, queue and time zone.

**Queue**
The weekly posting times of a profile. A post with `addToQueue: true` takes the next free one. See [The queue](/docs/guides/scheduling#the-queue).

**Reconnect, `needs_reauth`**
An account whose connection the platform ended. It has to be connected again before posts to it can go out.

**Scope**
What an API key may do, such as `posts:write` or `accounts:read`. See [Scopes](/docs/api/authentication#scopes).

**Source**
Who can fix a publishing error: `user`, `platform` or `system`.

**Target** (`tgt_`)
A post on one account, with its own status, optional own text and settings, and the link to the live post. See [Post lifecycle](/docs/concepts/post-lifecycle).

**Webhook** (`wh_`)
A URL of yours that FeedHorizon calls when something happens, such as a post being published. See [Webhooks](/docs/guides/webhooks).
