Platform Invites
Invite someone to connect their social account to your profile via a shareable link.
Overview
Platform invites let you generate a link that someone else can use to connect their social account (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram) to your profile. When they complete the flow, their account is linked to your profile so you can post from it—useful for team members, clients, or delegated posting.
- 7-day expiry — Each link expires 7 days after creation.
- Single-use — Once the invitee connects their account, the link cannot be used again.
- Per profile and platform — You create invites from the Connections page for a specific profile and platform (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram).
Creating an invite link
- Go to Dashboard → Connections.
- Select the profile you want to add a connected account to.
- Find the platform (e.g. LinkedIn or Instagram) and click invite (below the connect button).
- In the modal, click Create link.
- Copy the generated URL and share it (email, Slack, etc.).
The modal also lists Existing invitations for that profile and platform: you can copy or revoke them.
What the invitee sees
- They open the link (e.g.
https://yourapp.com/connect/invite/abc123...). - If not signed in, they are prompted to Sign in to continue.
- After signing in, they see: "Connect your [Platform] to [Your Profile Name]'s profile".
- They click Continue with [Platform] and complete OAuth.
- Their connected account is then linked to your profile (not their default profile). They are redirected to the connections page with a success message.
Security and behaviour
- Only the profile owner (or users with access to that profile) can create or revoke invites.
- The invitee must have a FeedHorizon account; they sign in and then connect. Their OAuth account is associated with their user but attached to your profile’s connected accounts.
- Revoking an invite invalidates the link immediately; expired or used links show an error page.
